Challenge Midget AAA Reebok: End of first round Maxime Tousignant

In the Coop division, Les Élites de Jonquière is well established. Dany Fortin’s team won all three games, knocking down the Halifax Titans, the Magog Cantonniers and the sixth-seeded Esther-Blondin College Phase.
After taking the lead 5-1 in the game against the last Telus Cup finalist, the Elites almost caught a nasty lap when they let the Phoenix go up the scoring. Antoine Kilanowski reduced the gap to just one goal with just over eight minutes to play in the third period, but Kevin Bouchard managed to maintain the fort, which he completed the encounter with 28 saves.

Encounters that promise
This defeat prevented the Phoenix from continuing his tournament, while on the side of the Elites, they will face in the quarterfinals another team which also totals three victories, the Grenadiers of Châteauguay.
Led by striker Maxim Pitre, eighth in the tournament with five points, the fourth team in the regular season standings will try to restrain Simon-Claude Blackburn, who is at the top of the pointers with four goals and as many passes.

The first quarter-final encounter will bring the Lévis Commanders to the Foresters of Amos. The latter are the only other tournament formation to have recorded three gains in as many starts.
The leaders of the Tanguay division, the Lions of Lac St-Louis will cross the line with the formation which currently ranks first in the overall standings of the regular season, the Rousseau Royal in Laval-Montreal. Both teams finished the first round with identical records, two wins and one shootout loss.
The last duel of this elimination round will be between the Rivers of Charlemoyne College and the Blizzard of the Séminaire St-François. Charlemoyne’s team will try to repeat their performance on September 21 when they had the upper hand on that same Blizzard by the mark of 7-4.
The winners of each duel will have to recover quickly, as the semi-finals will be played that evening. On Saturday alone, six teams will have to pack up, while the Challenge Midget AAA Reebok of L’Ancienne-Lorette will have its two teams competing for top honors in the final
